Cosmetic brand owners entering the UAE often have a complete international PIF or equivalent. The local task is to confirm that the formula, INCI list, claims and bilingual artwork still describe the same product and remain appropriate for the destination market.
Formula first
Ingredient review should happen before a large artwork suite is commissioned. If a substance is restricted or needs a condition of use, the pack and the claims may need to change.
Claims second
Whitening, medical or ‘free-from’ statements deserve a second look. If a claim cannot be supported by the file, it is cheaper to edit the line than to explain it later.
